Spring has arrived and if you’re looking for easter activities in Kent then we’d love to see you!
The days are getting longer, the fields are starting to bloom and our alpacas are more than ready to welcome you back for some fresh air, countryside walks and plenty of cuddles.
If you’re looking for something a little different to do this Easter in Kent, we’ll be open for both alpaca treks and meet & greets across selected dates throughout the holidays. It’s the perfect excuse to get outside, slow things down, and spend time with some very friendly faces (the alpacas, of course).
Easter Opening Dates
We’ll be open for treks and meet & greet bookings on the following dates:
- Tuesday 7th April – Sunday 12th April
- Tuesday 14th April -Sunday 19th April
Over the Easter weekend itself, we’ll be open on Good Friday & Easter Saturday, before closing for Easter Sunday & Easter Monday. Whether you’re planning a family day out, meeting friends or just fancy doing something a little different, our treks and meet & greets are a lovely way to spend a spring day.
What to Expect
Our alpaca treks take you on a gentle walk through the Romney Marsh countryside, giving you time to get to know your alpaca (each one has their own personality – some cheeky, some a little more reserved!).
If you’re visiting with younger children, our meet & greet sessions are a great option, giving you the chance to get up close, take photos and enjoy some relaxed time with the alpacas without heading out on a full walk. And yes, photos are absolutely encouraged. We love seeing your pictures, especially when you tag us!
A Few Helpful Things to Know
We want your visit to be as smooth and enjoyable as possible, so here are a few quick tips before you arrive:
- Parking: There’s a large on-site car park and it’s completely free.
- Food & Drink: There’s a lovely coffee shop right next door which is perfect for a post-walk treat.
- Footwear: Dress for the weather. If it’s been wet, we’d recommend boots. On dry days, trainers are ideal – just no sandals or flip flops.
- Accessibility: Due to the natural, uneven terrain, the farm unfortunately isn’t suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs.
- What to Wear: Try to avoid anything loose or floaty (like scarves that aren’t wrapped securely) as alpacas can be easily spooked.
Visiting with Children
Children are very welcome here at Alpaca Annie. For smaller children or toddlers, we’d usually recommend a meet & greet session as the best experience. If you are joining a trek with younger children, they’ll need to either be in a carrier or accompanied by an adult who isn’t walking an alpaca.
Don’t Forget the Gift Shop
Before you head home, make sure you pop into our on-site gift shop, where you’ll find a range of beautiful alpaca products from cosy socks to thoughtful gifts. Please note, the shop is card only.
